Mothering Justice Action Fund (MJAF) is a 501(c)(4) nationwide project, rooted in Michigan, dedicated to returning decision-making power to those most impacted by policy, mothers of color. Since 2015, our goal has been to place political power in the hands of an overlooked voting bloc; mamas.

For mothers across the country, balancing paid work and caretaking responsibilities are a major contributor to the economic instabilities our communities feel; mothers of color, in particular Black mothers, experience this even more acutely as result of systemic oppression and inequity in access to resources. Mothering Justice Action Fund activates the collective power of mamas to center Mamas’ Agenda.
